The Vision Behind SAL Brasil – Leadership & Expansion
At the heart of SAL Brasil are two key figures: Jacky Wu, CEO, and Tony Habib, General Manager. Jacky’s vision for SAL Brasil began years ago with the growing volume of exports from SAL China to Brazil. His long-term ambition was to establish SAL China as a global office, which became a reality in 2024 when he partnered with Tony to officially launch SAL Brasil. With extensive experience in product development and international trade, Jacky has successfully brought his expertise to Brazil, ensuring that clients receive the same high standards that have defined SAL China worldwide.
Tony, having spent 12 years living full-time in China, has cultivated deep industry connections across manufacturing, retail, and importing sectors. Now leading SAL Brasil, he also continues to manage key clients of SAL China, working with retailers and importers across multiple markets. His frequent travels between China and Brazil enable seamless business operations, quality assurance, and market expansion. Beyond his managerial role, Tony also serves as the lead graphic designer for both SAL China and SAL Brasil, ensuring brand consistency and high-impact product presentation.
Jacky's commitment to global expansion is further demonstrated by his recent investments in Ethiopia, where he launched Stage 1 of undergarment production with state-of-the-art machinery and a 20,000 sq. meter dyeing facility. His next step for Brazil is to strengthen the market with high-quality products and long-term supply chain solutions. By the end of 2025, Jacky aims to establish cotton plantations in Ethiopia, with the same vision for Brazil in the future. The opening of SAL Brasil marks the beginning of a powerful trade bridge between China and Brazil, setting the stage for new opportunities in manufacturing, imports, and sustainable textile development.
